SGP works directly with women in the rural areas to train them on how to produce high quality Shea butter for sale in the international markets. Currently, the Songagold Women in Shea butter project (SWISP) operates in five Centers namely, the Tamale Metropolis, Walewale and Wulensi Districts, all in the Northern Region of Ghana. The rest are Kandiga and Sirugu in the Upper East Region of Ghana.
To serve as the main link between the local Shea butter producers in Ghana and the international markets through the export of quality Shea butter made possible through training and provision of facilities to the women groups while ensuring that they receive premium prices for their products.
To become the global exporter and producer of Shea butter for cosmetics markets worldwide
To create jobs and reduce the poverty levels of rural women in the Northern Ghana.
We mobilize and sensitize women to go into Shea Nuts picking and Shea Butter processing.  We train them on best practices in processing nuts and butter for the international markets. And we provide a direct link between the producers and buyers of shea butter
